Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Price Match Policy limits, excludes, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including your right to a remedy for goods that are faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described. Those rights apply independently of this policy and cannot be excluded.

1. Overview

Musos Corner is committed to offering competitive prices. If you find a lower price on an identical product at an eligible Australian competitor, we may match it at our discretion, subject to the conditions set out in this policy. Price matching is offered as a goodwill service, not a contractual obligation. We reserve the right to decline any individual price match request even where the conditions in Section 2 are satisfied (see Section 6).

This policy applies to products stocked by Musos Corner and available through our website (www.musoscorner.com.au) and physical stores. It does not apply to services such as lessons, tuition, repairs, or luthier services, nor does free delivery form part of any price match comparison.

2. When We Will Price Match

We will consider a price match where all of the following conditions are satisfied (and subject to our overall discretion under Section 6):

• the price match request is for a single unit of an individual product - price matching does not apply to bundles, packages, multi-unit purchases, or any quantity other than one unit
• the price match request is made prior to purchase - we are unable to retrospectively match prices after a transaction has been completed
• the product is identical - same brand, model, style, and configuration - and is currently stocked and available for immediate sale by both Musos Corner and the competitor (not on backorder or limited allocation)
• the competitor is an authorised Australian retail store or authorised Australian online retailer (see Section 3 for exclusions)
• a Musos Corner team member is able to independently verify the competitor's current price and availability at the time of the request
• the price match request is made in-store or by contacting us by phone or email before completing your order

Where a competitor's advertised price excludes delivery and our price includes delivery, the comparison is made on the total delivered cost to your address. Conversely, where our price excludes delivery (for example, on items collected in-store) and the competitor's does the same, the comparison is on the product price alone.

3. When We Will Not Price Match

We will not price match in the following circumstances.

3.1 Price is below our cost

We reserve the right to decline a price match where the competitor's price is below our own cost price for the product.

3.2 Competitor or product is ineligible

We will not match prices from:

• clearance/liquidation outlets, including duty free stores, factory outlets, warehouse sales, liquidators, clearance centres, and businesses under insolvency administration, receivership, or winding up
• unauthorised resellers or grey market importers
• online marketplaces or websites that do not operate a physical retail store in Australia (for example, marketplace sellers on third-party platforms)
• international retailers or websites, regardless of whether they ship to Australia

We will not match prices on competitor products that are:

• demonstration models, ex-display, second hand, refurbished, or remanufactured
• part of any bundle, package, kit, or multi-product offer (price matching applies only to individual items - see clause 2)

3.3 Price type is ineligible

We will not match prices that are:

• an Online Only offer from a competitor that also operates physical retail stores (unless Musos Corner also sells that product exclusively online)
• based on an incorrect, outdated, or expired price
• a specially negotiated price available only to a specific group - such as corporate rates, trade accounts, loyalty programme members, or subscription or membership offers
• achieved through the application of a discount voucher, coupon, cashback, loyalty points, or any other means other than the standard advertised price
• a temporary flash sale, limited-time deal, or promotional event price where the offer period has ended or is due to end within 24 hours

3.4 Musos Corner Online Only products

Where Musos Corner's online website has exclusive Online Only offers or products priced below standard cost, those products will not be eligible for price matching at our physical stores. Such products will be clearly marked as "Online Only" on the website.

3.5 Trade-in transactions

Trade-in valuations, and any deduction from a purchase price arising from a trade-in, are not price-matchable. Trade-ins are assessed at the discretion of a Musos Corner team member in accordance with our Website Terms and Conditions of Sale.

3.6 Special Orders after deposit

Special Orders (as defined in our Website Terms and Conditions of Sale) are eligible for price matching only at the time the order is placed. Once a deposit has been paid and Musos Corner has placed the corresponding order with the supplier, the Special Order is no longer eligible for price matching.

3.7 Used, vintage, and pre-owned items

Used, vintage, and pre-owned items are unique by nature and are not eligible for price matching. This includes items in our Vintage Guitars range.

4. How to Request a Price Match

To request a price match, please:

• identify the product and the competitor's current advertised price before completing your purchase
• provide us with evidence of the competitor's price - for example, a direct link to the product page, a screenshot showing the current price and availability, or a printed advertisement
• contact us in-store, by phone on 1300 687 672, or by email at sales@musoscorner.com.au

Our team will get back to you as soon as possible after verifying the competitor's price and availability. We may contact the competitor directly to confirm pricing.

5. Terms Applying to a Matched Price

Where a price match is agreed:

• the matched price is available at the time and date the agreement is made only - it is not guaranteed for future purchases
• no further discounts, promotional offers, gift-with-purchase, or free delivery will be applied in addition to the matched price, unless otherwise agreed in writing
• some financing and interest-free payment options may not be available on price-matched products - please ask our team at the time of your request
• the matched price applies to a single unit of the product only - it does not extend to additional units, repeat purchases, or any other items

6. Our Discretion

Next Chapter Music Pty Ltd reserves the right to:

• accept or decline any price match request at its reasonable discretion
• withdraw or modify this policy at any time by updating this page - changes take effect from the date of publication
• request supporting evidence (such as a screenshot or advertisement) before agreeing to a price match

Price matching is offered as a goodwill service and does not constitute a contractual obligation. Declining a price match request does not affect your rights as a consumer under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Your Australian Consumer Law Rights

Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumers are entitled to certain guarantees when purchasing goods and services, including that goods:

• are of acceptable quality
• are fit for any purpose the consumer made known to us
• match any description or sample provided
• come with full title and undisturbed possession

If goods you purchase from Musos Corner do not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on whether the failure is major or minor. These rights exist separately from this price match policy and cannot be limited or excluded by it.
