Overview
KNA BP-1 Portable Piezo Banjo Pickup
The KNA BP-1 provides a convenient way to amplify a banjo while retaining its natural acoustic character. Its passive piezo sensor mounts to the side of the bridge, capturing the instrument’s vibrations and sending the signal to an amplifier or mixing console through a standard quarter-inch output jack.
The lightweight maple sensor casing supports sensitive vibration transfer, while the detachable installation requires no permanent modification to the bridge or instrument. A clamping bracket secures the output jack near the banjo’s tailpiece, and the supplied microporous rubber sleeve and shims help accommodate different bridge widths.
Please note: The BP-1 requires a standard quarter-inch instrument cable and a suitable amplifier, preamp or mixing system. It is a passive pickup and does not require a battery.
